CUCC?s Christian Education program offers something for everyone. The Sunday school program for children and youth is structured as a 9-month program. Sunday school classes begin on Rally Day in early September and run through mid-June (see Calendar of Activities). Classes are held during the worship service. The children join the congregation for the first part of worship?the call to worship or morning prayer, a time for children, the anthem, offering, and doxology?and then adjourn to their classes. Confirmation class for middle school children is also held during the worship time.
On intergenerational worship Sundays, the children remain in worship to listen to a message designed for all ages. Children have many opportunities to participate in worship, by sharing their musical talents, serving as an acolyte, helping with the liturgy or communion, and providing questions for our ever-popular ?Ask the Minister? sessions. Children also enjoy hamming it up in informal skits and in CUCC's Christmas pageant. For the month leading up to Christmas, Sunday school sessions are devoted to Christmas pageant preparations, rehearsals, and performance.
An ecumenical Vacation Bible School held in mid-June is the kick-off to the summer season. Informal, one-room Sunday school classes are held from mid-June to August. The summer classes focus primarily on multi-age games and activities, such as art and service projects.

Year-round nursery care for infants and preschoolers is provided during the worship service. The nursery is located in a fully-equipped preschool classroom.
Adult education classes are held after worship and are offered as multi-week sessions devoted to a single theme. Interested members of the congregation are welcome to lead these classes on the topics of their choice.
